I’m happy to announce that two of my drawings have been accepted into “Michigan Now: CTAC’s 2019 Juried Fine Arts Exhibition” at Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey, MI. Over 400 artworks were entered from across the state of Michigan and 78 pieces were selected for the show. Juana Williams, exhibitions curator at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (UICA) in Grand Rapids. MI served as judge for the show. The exhibition runs from September 21 — November 9, 2019. My entries include “A Walk by the Pond” and “Lady in the Shallows.”
Update: 9-21-2019
Attending the opening reception of the show, I was delighted to receive an “Honorable Mention” award for my drawing “A Walk by the Pond” (on left).
Hi David,
While researching writing/drawing instruments I can use in my new Lokta paper journal, I came across your fine art webpage. I just want to say how beautiful I find your artwork! I wish you lots of success! Happy New Year!
Regards,
Jill
Jill,
Thank you for your kind words, and your New Year’s greeting. Obviously I love Lokta paper. I’m partial to the solid Lemon Yellow paper, and the line work in my drawings is drawn with a 2B graphite pencil. Enjoy your journaling and I, in return, wish you a very Happy New Year!
Dave- congrats in your two entries and honorable mention!! That’s very good-for-you!
Blessings,
Pat & Joan
Thanks Pat and Joan.
