Also selected were the Best of Show Award and the Library Purchase Award for the library’s permanent collection which is available, along with the rest of its collection, to be checked out for several months at a time.

The awards ceremony provided an opportunity for me to discuss the attributes and qualifications of each piece selected. Additionally, after the ceremony I was available to meet with, and answer questions the artists or their family and friends had. I was impressed with the quality of the work presented by the area artists and look forward to the possibility of performing exhibition judging duties in the future. The show runs through May 18th, 2019.
