Galex 54 graphicGALEX is the combination of the words Galesburg and Exhibit. What began as a regional competition has grown into a national competition and exhibition celebrating its 54th year.  Open to artists working in all mediums, this year’s juror, Rose Frantzen, a native of Maquoketa, Iowa, who has gained national and international acclaim for her oil paintings, will award over $2,500 in prizes choosing over 50 works for the exhibition.

I’m happy to announce that my drawing “sow/grow/reap” has been accepted in Galex 54 at the Galesburg Civic Art Center in Galesburg, Illinois. 941 artworks by 269 artists were entered, and I was one of the fortunate artists selected to show their work. The exhibition will be held in the Blick Gallery and runs from March 6 – April 4, 2020.
