The Mission Statement of The Muskegon Museum of Art, states that it is founded on a tradition of aesthetic excellence, and is committed to fostering the life-long study and appreciation of the visual arts by strengthening, preserving, and exhibiting its collections; offering a wide range of traditional and contemporary exhibitions; stimulating learning and creativity through diverse public and educational programming; and enhancing community involvement and support in a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment.

The Muskegon Metro area had a population of 173,566 in the most recent census report. It is also part of the larger Grand Rapids-Kentwood-Muskegon-Combined Statistical Area with a population of 1,433,288.

I’m happy to announce that my drawing “Adoring Nature” has been accepted in the 92nd annual Michigan Contemporary Art Exhibition held at this impressive museum on the western edge of Michigan, running from September 23 through November 10, 2021.
